# Aerospike Python Client Release 1.0.58 (December 31, 2015)

The 1.0.58 release of the Aerospike Python client came out on December 31, 2015 and is available for download [here](https://github.com/aerospike/aerospike-client-python/releases/tag/1.0.58). This major release adds support for [geospatial index and query](http://www.aerospike.com/docs/guide/geospatial.html), a feature requiring Aerospike server \>= [3.7.0](http://www.aerospike.com/download/server/notes.html#3.7.0.1), as well as other features and fixes.

Features

- Enhanced geospatial queries with new predicates [geo\_within\_geojson\_region](https://pythonhosted.org/aerospike/predicates.html#aerospike.predicates.geo_within_geojson_region), [geo\_within\_radius](https://pythonhosted.org/aerospike/predicates.html#aerospike.predicates.geo_within_radius), [geo\_contains\_geojson\_point](https://pythonhosted.org/aerospike/predicates.html#aerospike.predicates.geo_contains_geojson_point), and [geo\_contains\_point](https://pythonhosted.org/aerospike/predicates.html#aerospike.predicates.geo_contains_point). CLIENT-601
- Added support for Amazon environments such as EMR. Thanks [@ramrengaswamy](https://github.com/ramrengaswamy) and [@BeeswaxIO](https://github.com/BeeswaxIO).

Fixes

- Fixed case where a wrong exception was thrown for error status 160. CLIENT-600
- Fixed a bug where as\_geojson was not casting back to aerospike.GeoJSON. CLIENT-628
