FAQ - Can you have XDR Destination Clusters of different versions?

Detail

Can you have XDR Destination Clusters of different versions?

Answer

Yes, as long as all destination clusters are Aerospike 3.8 or higher there is no need for the cluster versions to be homogenous. XDR uses the Aerospike C client to propagate changes and does not require any specific functions that would limit version interoperability. It is completely acceptable to have an Aerospike 3.12 cluster and an Aerospike 4.5 cluster in an active/active XDR topology.
