FAQ - Where are the Aerospike process startup parameters set?

Detail

If you cannot use the sysVinit or systemd startup configuration for asd, you will need to set specific startup/runtime parameters (such as rmem_max and wmem_max) manually. The below explains where these parameters and their values can be found.

Answer

In non-systemd environments the following file sets any required parameters.

/etc/init.d/aerospike

In a systemd environment (RHEL 7 and higher, ubuntu 16.04+) the parameters are found here:

/usr/bin/asd-systemd-helper

Notes

  • Parameters are not listed specifically as these may change between versions.
  • Information on running Aerospike as a non-root user can be found on the Running as non root documentation page.
