# Python Client Release 1.0.54 (October 18, 2015)

The 1.0.54 release of the Python client came out on October 18, 2015 and is available for download [here](https://github.com/aerospike/aerospike-client-python/releases/tag/1.0.54). It boasts a number of features and fixes:

Features

- Added [aerospike.geodata](https://pythonhosted.org/aerospike/aerospike.html#aerospike.geodata), [aerospike.geojson](https://pythonhosted.org/aerospike/aerospike.html#aerospike.geojson) factory functions for producing [aerospike.GeoJSON](https://pythonhosted.org/aerospike/geojson.html) classes (CLIENT-529).
- Added the [aerospike. **version**](https://pythonhosted.org/aerospike/aerospike.html#aerospike. __version__ ) string to the module (CLIENT-537).

Fixes

- Fixed [Issue #77](https://github.com/aerospike/aerospike-client-python/issues/77), crash when an arg of a UDF is a bytearray (CLIENT-517). Status code AEROSPIKE\_ERR\_SERVER raises an [aerospike.exception.ServerError](https://pythonhosted.org/aerospike/exception.html#aerospike.exception.ServerError) (CLIENT-535, CLIENT-552).
- Fixed a bug where the [POLICY\_KEY\_SEND](https://pythonhosted.org/aerospike/aerospike.html#aerospike.POLICY_KEY_SEND) policy was not being followed (CLIENT-518).
- Fixed behavior regarding the system lua files in the installer and client (CLIENT-544).
