# Values disappeared

We stored user information in Aerospike, but after approximately 2 years, some values corresponding to certain keys disappeared. What could be the reason for this situation? š„²

How did you notice this? On some older versions, by default, evictions would be in effect so could it be that some records were evicted at some point due to higher memory/storage use potentially during brief cluster splitsā¦ hard to guess without more details.
