asbackup sends all output (error and non-error messages) to stderr . Is there a reason for this?
non-error messages should go to stdout .
I am using Debian aerospike-tools package v3.3.18 .
Hi Tomaz, Thanks for pointing out this. There is no specific reason in putting non-error messages to stderr. We will separate out error and non-error messages to stderr and stdout respectively.
A JIRA has been filed to follow up on this; it’s AER-3106, just for reference. Please stay tuned for updates on our progress.
