Optimizing Aerospike Deployment on AWS Hybrid Networks

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on improving Aerospike performance and reliability in AWS hybrid environments, and I wanted to share some insights and hear how others here have approached similar setups.

While exploring advanced cloud networking concepts through a few hands-on practice environments like official AWS guide, Pass4Future ANS-C01 practice questions sets, Aerospike community/discussions on (AWS networks, security, cluster), and AWS documentation. I experimented with different ways to connect on-premise and cloud-based Aerospike clusters securely and efficiently. Some of the most interesting results came from testing VPC peering, Transit Gateway, and Direct Connect configurations - especially in terms of replication latency and route optimization.

I’ve also looked at how BGP-based routing and redundant VPN tunnels can help maintain Aerospike cluster availability across regions. It’s been fascinating to see how these networking designs, usually discussed in advanced cloud studies, directly influence Aerospike’s performance when scaling or distributing workloads globally.

I’d love to hear from others who’ve deployed Aerospike in similar hybrid or multi-region AWS setups:

  • What networking designs have worked best for you?
  • How do you handle cross-region replication and failover efficiently?
  • Any tips for tuning network performance or managing connection overhead?

Looking forward to hearing your experiences and learning from the community.
