Performance difference between dev and file storage?

If the disk is SSD, is there any performance difference between file and device storage?

Yes, when Aerospike is using it as a raw device there is no filesystem overhead and Aerospike have also been optimized for SSDs so you will see better performance when using it as a raw device. See this about Aerospike and flash storage Flash Storage | Aerospike Documentation
