Aerospike Connect for Kafka 1.0.2 (October 10, 2019)

Aerospike Connect for Kafka Inbound version 1.0.2 & Aerospike Connect for Kafka Outbound version 1.0.2 were released on October 10, 2019.

This release includes new configurations and allows tuning for certain Out Of Memory issues.

• Aerospike Kafka Connector (Outbound)
  • No changes except version number bump.
• Aerospike Kafka Connector (Inbound)
  • Added configurations for the Aerospike client.
    • New configurations:
      • policy.max_connections_per_node
      • policy.max_commands_in_queue
    • Allows tuning if encountering certain OOM issues java - How to fix problem with max connections exceed? - Stack Overflow .

I gather this should answer the error I raised as

"Aerospike Kafka connector throwing error max connections 25 would be exceeded

It isn’t the major release that we mentioned but is a point release just to address this issue and expose those policy vars.

These are my settings in aerospike-sink.properties file

policy.max_connections_per_node=1200
policy.max_commands_in_queue=500
