Are AWS AZs considered as "Cross Data Center Replication"?

Hi,

Trying to understand whether I can use Community Edition in an AWS setup spanning 2 AZs, which are technically speaking - different datacenters and as we know, only Enterprise allows “Cross Data Center Replication”: Database Features and Editions | Aerospike ?

We do have users who have configured clusters to work across availability zones. The approach is typically to treat each AZ as a rack in a rack-aware cluster. You should also increase the heartbeat timeout for such a cluster; the default settings assume the cluster nodes are tightly coupled.

@kporter Thank you! Really valuable advice. Good to hear its not required to buy Enterprise just because we’ll have multiple AZs.
