I’m getting a 404 when I try to find the repo now… Anyone know what happened? https://github.com/aerospike/aerospike-kafka-connector
Hi Albert,
Thanks for pointing it out, it is not by accident:-) it is by design - We are in the process of getting new version of Kafka which is more complete in nature to the market. The old kafka-connector[which supports only ingest], and given that our upcoming connector that supports both Inbound and Outbound will make this old [removed one] redundant. Hence it has been phased out of the git.
Excellent news. I hope it will be open source. Can you put some details on the kafka page? https://www.aerospike.com/docs/connectors/kafka I think it would be good to let people know something is forthcoming instead of pointing to broken URL’s… also if you have the date when this might be released I would like to know as well
Albert,
It will be a full-fledged connector and will be released as an add-on and not opensource, we are the process of doing an EAP program for a select set of customers before we go with the GA. Will soon publish the timelines once we are through with the EAP.
We are in the process of making changes, thanks for the suggestions, will be incorporating the details - and BTW pls be aware the old links are subjected to change like the link you have pointed to. Stay tuned for the forthcoming notes/announcements.

Hello all, Aerospike Connect for Kafka is out. It’s an enterprise product, and it requires Aerospike Enterprise Edition. This is because it makes use of the built-in Change Notification framework that was introduced in Aerospike EE 4.4.
