The only way to add/modify or config/delete a namespace is editing the aerospike.config file and restart aerospike server, right? I go though all documents and found no other refer about this. Just want to confirm.

And for deleting a namespace, I need to remove it from config files and then remove the data file manually, right?

Hi there,

Thank you for using Aerospike. You are correct. Adding and removing Namespaces is currently not a dynamic option and restarting the demon is needed for the change to take effect after you have modified the aerospike.conf file.

Thanks Petter

The ability to add/remove namespaces with rolling restart of the cluster is added starting server version 3.13.0.1 for both Community and Enterprise versions on paxos-protocol version v5.
