We are currently using Aerospike 5.x version and would like to know if an upgrade to 7.x version directly is possible or not. If not, could you please help in letting me know what the easiest way is in upgrading from 5.x to 7.x.
Is this referring to the server (database) version or to a client or some connector or tools?
For the server, there are no version 7.x at this point. The highest released version is 6.3 and does not require a jump version when upgrading from a 5.x version. The details would be on the special upgrade documentation: Special Upgrades | Aerospike Documentation.
We use : -server<->server XDR -server<->XDR_proxy XDR -client 5.x ↔ server 7.x
Are the compatible for the upgrade?
As you are indicating the use of XDR, which is an Enterprise Edition feature, I would suggest opening a Support case. Also, there are no server 7.x released at this point.
